Experience

Dr. Tylka first became interested in TMJ problems while still in dental school. His interest continued through his prosthodontic speacialty training inspiring him to continue his education and training in the areas of Temporomandibular Disorders & Facial Pain, and eventually Sleep Medicine and Dental Sleep Medicine.

Since completing his formal education Dr. Tylka has always maintained a practice largely devoted to the diagnosis and care of patients suffering from the often-confusing signs and symptoms that can present as a TMJ problem, but which must be differentiated from the extensive list of serious conditions that can mimic certain TM Disorders.

Over his career Dr. Tylka has treated patients under a variety of clinical environments, including not only university-based clinics, but also in private practice, as sol-proprietor, as well as group practice.
